i need help

i am working on a forum for my call of duty clan, and i am using the same thign as was used for this (forumotion.)
I have made the categories and put forums in them, but when i preview my forum the categories don't appear, just the forum's! Does anyone know how to work this out?

i know :
1) edit the catogry settings , on the forum drop down menu change it to "catogry"
no , on the drop down menu with "copy permission from" in it, selcet another catogry
2) on every sub forum in that catogry, select yes to "List subforum in parent-forum’s legend"
